ABOUT THE TEAM

• Travis Hanna – Director

  Mr. Hanna has held senior management roles in both the energy and real estate development industries. He has extensive experience in project management, contract negotiation, business development, land acquisition, supply chain management, stakeholder relations, and corporate strategy. Mr. Hanna holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Calgary, a Petroleum Land Business designation from Mount Royal University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).

• Barry Friesen – Director

  Mr. Friesen currently holds and has held director and executive level roles in electrical distribution, power generation, generator manufacturing, controls & automation manufacturing, and industrial real estate sectors. He has strong skills in capital management and deployment, strategic acquisitions, human resource management, and skills assessments. Mr. Friesen is currently the President of Friesen Electric.

• Mark Hutchison – Director as of May 31, 2024

  Mr. Hutchison is a professional management consultant and a Client Partner with HumanEdge Executive Search. He’s worked in executive roles in the composite pipeline and other oilfield services businesses.
  Mark has served as Chair, ViceChair and Director of various community not-for-profits (e.g. Hospice Calgary, Highbanks Society) and currently serves as Board Director on private company boards unrelated to EnerMerge. Mr. Hutchison has a B. Comm. (Finance) from the University of Alberta, an MBA from the University of Calgary and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

• Mike Palamarek – Director as of May 31, 2024

  Mr. Palamarek has experience as an Electrical Engineer for Instrumentation, Electrical and Control Systems in the Oil & Gas, power generation and wastewater areas. He is a part-owner and Director of Cybertech Automation Inc and its’ wholly owned subsidiaries.
  Mr. Palamarek is retired from active Engineering practice. He also is the President and Board Chair of the Fernie & District Historical Society and the Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) Mountain Division President representing 650+ ski patrollers in Alberta/Yukon. Mr. Palamarek has a BSC. Engineering from University of Alberta and is a P.Eng. (non-practicing) with APEGA. He formerly held professional Engineering designations in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon and a professional TÜV certification in Safety Instrumented Systems.
